Provide centralized Tier II/III support for C4I systems in support of operational requirements directed by the CJCS/Joint Staff with regards to Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS) Operational Framework.
Plan, test, and perform IT system maintenance, patching, version updates, configuration changes, infrastructure upgrades, and security compliancy measures to maintain network integrity on common use and coalition systems.
Manage user access to command and control applications.
Troubleshoot incidents reported in the Army trouble ticketing system.
Provide informal COP user training on all the operational aspects of current and future COP software applications.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartment Access (SCI).
This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
This position requires call back after normal duty hours and occasional emergency overtime are requirements of this position.
Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on an occasional basis approximately 15% of the time.
This position is designated as an IAT-III with Computing Environments (Windows/Linux Server).
Incumbent will be required to possess the appropriate required certifications as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, at time of offer or have up to 6 months to gain the required certifications.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience operating and maintaining GCCS-J servers; Maintain and create COP Sync Tools channels with other COP servers; Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting VMware, Windows and Linux operating systems and configuring Agile COP servers; and integrate other mission command systems to enable track data information flow. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
