Duties

Help

Significant volume of goods and services procured via Government Purchase Cards. Drafts final contracts and prepares recommendation for award. Administers contract and provides guidance to contractor regarding contractual terms. Maintains official contract file identifying problem situations or potential contract problems until contract is fully satisfied and closed. Develops procurement plans, reviews requisitions and determines appropriate method of procurement, i.e., formal advertising, negotiation, sole source or existing contracts. Performs detailed analysis of bids or proposals received ensuring strict compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

Experience and broad knowledge of market sources for commonly purchased commercial items and routine services. General knowledge of technical purchasing methods and procedures desired but not required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a NAF Contracting Warrant, as well as a NAF and APF Government Purchase Card (GPC). Computer and interpersonal skills are required for effective communication with various levels of business representatives and customers. Strong Attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
