Duties

Help

  • Develops project scoping documents and detailed project plans for each assigned project including project objectives, scope, work activities, milestones, deliverables, schedule, work activity assignments, and cost estimates.
  • Oversees and tracks work activity progress, project costs, and schedule completion through the course of the project.
  • Provides direct assistance to management and other project management officials by providing, securing, or negotiating for the resources and services needed to manage and complete the projects.
  • Develops and provides periodic status reports and management presentations on projects throughout the life cycle of the project.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that the applicant meets the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, you must possess one year of full-time specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in federal service having demonstrated experience as a team member or task lead with primary responsibility of managing tasks or activities related to engineering design, construction projects, or multi-objective investigations. Experience must include management of tasks or activities such as scheduling, estimating, tracking, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle (i.e. from starting the project through closeout). Experience must also include management of scope, schedule, and budget for the project task or activity with regular communication with the project team and status reports to the project manager.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Probationary Period: You will be required to serve probationary period if selected from this announcement.

Telework: Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Current Reclamation policy requires non-supervisory employees to report to the official duty station a minimum of 8 hours per week. Full time telework or remote work is not available for this position. Selectees must be eligible to telework under the 2010 Telework Act.
