Duties

Help

  • Formulate instructions and directives necessary to conduct service-oriented and cost-effective operations. Monitor labor and other expenses.
  • Conduct reviews of guest comments, surveys, and operations to identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action. Evaluate the success of programs based on customer satisfaction.
  • Develop operating policies, programs and procedures for the department and submit them to the manager for approval. Provide for adequate internal controls, inventory management, and accountability for property and funds.
  • Perform a full range of supervisor duties including developing, evaluating, and obtaining approval for staffing levels. Recommend recruitment or reassignment actions, and selections; conduct performance appraisals and submit for approval.
  • Initiate or recommend disciplinary actions; initiate recommendations for awards and pay adjustments. Ensure skill level training is developed, conducted and evaluated on an ongoing basis.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A probation period of one year may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must complete Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) course within one year of hire.

Qualifications

  • Work experience performing in the role of a night auditor or front desk clerk, to include at least one (1) year of specialized supervisory or managerial experience related to hotel management. Demonstrated experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-02 level.
  • Must be adaptable to new assignments, and to changes in instructions, work methods, work situations and staff.
  • Must be able to use a computer for word processing and data entry.

Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • If authorized, only regular employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized based on a determination that a PCS move may be in the Government's interest.
