As a Management Analyst located in the Programmatic Team of Budget & Policy Integration Branch within Exploration Business Office, you will be responsible for executing and/or managing the full range of day-to-day administrative activities within the office including coordination of audit process, records management related to Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution products, management analysis, information technology and special projects.

  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Provide objective advice and expertise and help an organization to develop audit (Government Accountability Office [GAO]/Office of the Inspector General [OIG]) processes related to policy, process, measurement, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and schedule high-level meetings and briefings, maintain and, as necessary, develop selected reports to assist Exploration Senior leadership in understanding audit findings and course forward.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the content and knowledge products in Exploration Business Office (portal and management system) so that it is easily accessible and user friendly to all stakeholders.
  • Provide data analysis, data visualizations, and dashboard development for business operations in Exploration Mission Directorate.
  • Oversee delivery of Exploration Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) products and communication strategies to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • Participating in the development of project plans and/or studies to evaluate organizational performance;
  • Assisting with identifying resource requirements (i.e., staffing, funding, equipment, facilities) to support various levels of a program/project operational needs;
  • Analyzing and interpreting program or financial requirements, regulations, policy statements, or other similar guidelines or information material to determine the impact on program operations.

To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
  • Supporting Program Planning and Control processes to coordinate financial forecasting, task order development, resource requirements for program/project formulation and proposal development;
  • Organizing and presenting data for actionable program/project insights to senior leadership and stakeholders to drive business decisions;
  • Gathering, organizing, and analyzing complex resources data to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and take appropriate action.
