Duties

Help

As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC/Network), you will:

  • Ensure the design, implementation and operation of adequate telecommunications capabilities that provide measured availability and sustainability for TIGTA.
  • Integrate IT programs and services; developing solutions to integration/interoperability issues.
  • Design, develop, and manage IT network services that meet current and future business requirements, and apply or extend, enhance, or optimize the existing architecture.
  • Manage assigned projects; communicate complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel; and prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.
You will be leading major national level Cyber projects such as the application and adaptation of new and improved approaches to the design, development, and implementation of testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of security systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats, and diagnosing and resolving the most complex security problems and issues.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Experience with routing and configuration for Cisco equipment, Cisco wireless technology, Cisco security devices and applications; AND
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; AND
  • Experience with mentoring and knowledge sharing with other team members with different levels of abilities.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (CONTINUED):
  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • You will be required to regularly report to the Duty Station listed above. While teleworking is an option, approval is at management's discretion based on duties, business needs, performance, etc.
