At the full performance level, the Technical Training Instructor plans, develops, analyzes and implements comprehensive technical training including interactive video training, eLearning and/or automation training. Serves as instructor of technical training for SSA RSDHI programs and/or systems releases. Identifies the present and future program training needs of SSA employees through analytical studies. Plans and develops a technical training curriculum designed to integrate employee specialized knowledge with an overall knowledge of the organization's mission. Develops and/or adapts learning objectives for courses.

Qualifications
GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Such experience must have involved the development, examination, investigation and adjudication of Retirement, Survivor, Disability, Health Insurance (RSDHI) claims and/or all aspects of Supplement Security Income Program (SSI); or experience that provided a broad knowledge of the function or subject area of the position to be filled. Experience as a Claims Specialist in Title II and/or Title XVI is required. Candidates must describe their Claims Specialist experience.
Additional Qualifications: Experience in preparing, updating, and/or revising training material; conducting/presenting training using various instructional techniques, media and technologies including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (PPT) software. This experience must demonstrate the ability to write clearly and concisely, to deal courteously and effectively with the public, and to convey material to others in an understandable and dynamic manner. Experience must also demonstrate ability to exercise tact, ingenuity, flexibility and resourcefulness in the development of facts and information, and to work well with others..
