Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Enterprise Operations

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • - Analyze, handle, and/or disposition all IT transmittals coming into ECC. Systems Control Point Section will be the point of entry or front door for submission of IT transmittal and maintenance window work requests and Requests for Change (RfC). Computer assistants will analyze requests and process to closure or disposition to another stakeholder if applicable. They will act as final approvers for Endevor and SQuA transmittals. They will coordinate requests for maintenance windows with all IT stakeholders and the applicable boards. And coordinate and create additional maintenance windows as required for IT projects.
  • - In addition to acting as Change Coordinators, staff will act as Change Managers for the change process for all incoming Installation Request Tracking Tickets (IRTT). IRTTs are submitted by projects that require changes to infrastructure and application software. Staff will represent projects during change management and change control board meetings, field and answer questions, and work to get approval or deferment of change.
  • - Maintain integrity of Open Source Repository (OSR), formerly the IRS Maven Repository or IMR, by acting as role and account manager for the OSR. Will be responsible for processing user requests, password management, and online 5081 approval. Will ensure artifact and policy management of open source code within OSR. Will work with data management to determine and maintain a backup schedule for servers.
  • Facilitate as needed the Daily Status Review (DSR) and Installation Coordination Meeting (ICM). The DSR provides a communication forum to review the development and testing activities being performed within the Virtual Development Environment (VDE) and Enterprise Integration and Test Environment (EITE or Test) environments. Staff will ensure that effective communications concerning any project exceptions are brought to bear and dealt with in a timely manner. The Installation Coordination Meeting (ICM) reviews changes to the lower test environments like development and test, and plan for the installation of these changes. Staff will assist in facilitation of these meetings and prepare subsequent reports related to deployments' success, failure, or rescheduling.

  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired original or certified copies.

Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Grade 6 Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes: Experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Examples of qualifying experience may have been gained in operating computer equipment; providing support to a Local Area Network (LAN); analyzing data quickly and reading computer printouts to extract necessary information; recognizing/correcting minor malfunctions and reporting findings to responsible personnel; receiving, testing and installing new products; installing software updates.

Education

  • Tour of Duty: Day Shift - Start and stop times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
