Duties

Help
  • Provides procedural advice and assistance concerning preparation of these documents to other operating elements within the project office and other supporting government agencies.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of the total weapons system acquisition process to ensure accuracy, completeness, and applicability of data, milestone time phasing, technical and functional descriptions of the program and weapon system.
  • Maintains an audit trail of all data submitted in reports to higher headquarters, and a current knowledge of applicable regulations and instructions.
  • Documents proceedings and publishes minutes of meetings to attendees and determines and follows on to completion all action items resulting from the reviews.
  • Responsible for assuring smooth implementation of guidance/direction originating from all levels.
  • Able to coordinate with the Product Offices regarding the Internal Operating Budgets.
  • Develops funding guidance for subordinate activities and assist management in fiscal planning; responsible for integrating requirements into the annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM).

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 5 years of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-01/GS-04) position in the federal service.

Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the (NH-01/GS-04) grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Experience interpreting acquisition rules and regulations; 2) Experience analyzing acquisition processes and identifying process improvement opportunities; and 3) Preparation of acquisition documentation such as milestone documentation, decision papers, and development plans.

  • This is a pay banded position. The NH-02 encompasses grades 05 through 11 on the General Schedule.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
