Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
This is an indefinite position that may convert to permanent without further competition.
JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard.
The major duties include, but are not limited to:
Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance.
Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness.
Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization.
Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
Males born aft er 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate that you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
Experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions.
Experience demonstrating knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system.
Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues.
Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of a broad range of supply program relationships.
Knowledge of specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and operations.
Ability to analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems in supply processes, work methods, supply data management and supply operations.
Ability to develop and implement procedures/practices to cover multiple supply objective.
Knowledge of a variety of technical supply operations.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/MOS. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Primary Change of Station (PCS) relocation expenses will NOT be paid.

Incentive Termination without Recoupment: If you accept a Military Technician (Mil Tech) Permanent position where membership in the National Guard is a condition of employment, your bonus will be terminated with no recoupment as long as you have served at least 6 months of the bonus contract following receipt of the initial bonus payment.
