TTS is seeking to fill a few PERMANENT appointments at the GS-15 grade level.
These are virtual/remote positions.
Duty stations to be determined upon selections.
Salaries to be determined upon selections, depending on duty locations.
Current civil service employees will receive new appointments if selected under this Direct Hire authority.

You must perform the following major duties:
Software Engineering/Applications Security Development
Manages and directs multiple highly complex and innovative IT and information security projects and initiatives. This includes translating technical specifications into programming specifications; developing, customizing, and/or acquiring applications software programs; and testing, debugging, and maintaining software, information security, and other IT programs.
Coordinates information security and identity management activities within the Login.gov program organization relating to application development and integration.
Performs technical collaboration, coordination, and overarching operational processes on multiple highly complex IT modernization projects and strategic initiatives, which involve a broad range of critical issues of national interest.
Determines project scope and approach, appropriate financial resources, personnel resources, and monitoring overall development and performance of IT projects.
Partners with the customer and supports them as a solutions architect, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to their engineers and stakeholders.
Serves on agency, interagency, and technical society committees of national importance as a recognized authority in software engineering.
Leadership to Ad Hoc Teams
Provides leadership in the design, development, and deployment of IT software, applications, programs, and/or services solutions leveraging current and emergent technologies and best practices.
Relationship Management
Establishes and maintains mutual understanding and cooperation with executive, management, and staff stakeholders within GSA and customer agencies.

If selected, you must meet the following conditions:
Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. The GS-15 salary range starts at $136,908 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

In addition to the competencies listed above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the federal service.
Specialized Experience is:
Applying software design and information security principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices.
Implementing and providing authoritative advice and guidance to a wide array of management, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital services/platforms/products on a broad, complex spectrum impacting government entities.
Estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments.
Collaborating across organizational/operational boundaries to build strategic relationships, and resolving sensitive IT issues.
