The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) was established by White House Executive Order as an advisory body to the President on cultural policy. The committee is comprised of leading artists, scholars, museum practitioners, and philanthropists. If selected for the Communications Specialist position, the incumbent will assist PCAH and internal employees to communicate to and engage with external partners, including other federal agencies, third-party organizations, and community entities to leverage internal and external resources and opportunities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops communication materials and products to be delivered through print, electronic, and social media platforms.
Uses web and social media outreach tactics to build engagements with target audiences.
Builds and implements yearly programmatic approach for communications.
Develops agency-wide communication plans.
Plans large and small scale events.
Coordinates the timely communication of new or revised programs, initiatives, policies, or procedures to internal and external customers.
Develops and writes informational materials and presentations to educate audiences about agency functions, programs, and initiatives.
Uses desktop publishing and other software applications, web content, briefings, and content for video.
Collaborates with Staff to ensure delivery of agency messages aligns with overall agency's strategy and objectives.
