Duties

Help

As a key initiative under the Administration, the work performed under MySBA has both high fidelity and scrutiny, is fast-packed, and evolving quickly. The Product Manager has expertise leading cross-functional teams including designers and software engineers to deliver products and service in an iterative manner meeting mission and user needs.

  • Serves as an IT expert on a plethora of issues involving systems analysis at customer agency.
  • Uses analytical skills to apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving project outcomes.
  • Executes the full product lifecycle supporting modem solutions including problem definition, hypothesis generation and validation, user research and discovery, design prototyping, software prototyping, and the creation of production ready software.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short- and long-term product forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
  • Identifies potential bias and actively minimizes inequities in work products, decisions, policies, and processes.

GS-15: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector:

  • Leading high performing ad hoc teams in IT systems analyses, and software development efforts from inception to implementation to improve product offerings and quality.
  • Developing solutions to integration/interoperability issues, and managing systems to meet current and future business requirements and optimize the existing architecture.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert (information technology) and senior systems analyst.
  • Working with stakeholders to establish priorities for IT investments.
