Duties

Help
  • You will provide a wide variety of assistance to customers.
  • You will analyze customers’ requirements, conducts IT research, recommends IT solutions, budgets IT resources, plans and executes the implementation of recommended technology solutions.
  • You will provide technical expertise for configuration management of the organizational LANs through documentation and implementation of required IAVA and application patches/upgrades/service packs.
  • You will support development and maintenance of required server and workstation baseline documentation in direct support of the Marine Corps Intelligence Enterprise mission.
  • You will represent, support, and make recommendations for Marine Corps Intelligence at community forums.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441 level 02 within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:

  1. Develop new methods, approaches and procedures and provides advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues.
  2. Diagnoses, analyzes and resolves IT systems, software and/or hardware problems.
  3. Develop plans, schedules and timelines, estimating resource requirements, defines milestones and deliverables, and monitors day-to-day activities to stay on track with projected completion dates and reports on accomplishments.
  4. Coordinate the work of the team, establishes priorities, guides team members and is responsible for accuracy and completeness of the team products.

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
