Duties

Help

As a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Attend JFHQ, USCC, and other external agency orders and compliance meetings. Review
    and knowledge receipt of all external order that are issued. Manage process for execution and
    compliance to orders. Regularly report compliance status of order to management. Central coordinator for all cyber related external audit activities. Maintain DHRA Field Activity Cybersecurity Posture Brief. Manage DOD and JFHQ-DODIN Scorecard for DHRA Field Activity.
  • Review DISA published Information Assurance Vulnerability Management(IAVM) notices and
    distribute to all component agencies of field activity. Collect acknowledgments, compliance
    reports, and POA&Ms for each IAVM.
  • Oversee contractor staff in performance of their duties. Act as the first point of escalation between stakeholders and contractor staff.
  • Manage JFHQ-DODIN activities for DHRA Field Activity. Manage the collection of data and upload into MADSS.
  • Coordinate CSSP activities and engagements.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS 13 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS -12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Oversee Information Assurance (IA) duties that ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems, networks and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of information cybersecurity programs, policies, procedures and tools.
  • Identifies, recommends and tracks remediations efforts to address vulnerabilities as they are identified
  • Manage security response actions to support information assurance of all the applicable Agency systems.
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert(SME), both technical and procedural aspect of Agency security policy and integration.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
