Duties

Help
  • Reviews Plans and Specs for upcoming projects and provides comments.
  • Contract Administration.
  • Reviews technical data and reports for input in Resident Management System (RMS) and prepares pay estimates for Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) approval.
  • Prepares before and after survey requests. Reviews surveys for areas to be dredged.
  • Reviews contractor's payrolls and prepares monthly exposure reports. Serves as the FOIA contact for the Dredging Section.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Contract administration of heavy marine construction projects, (2) Input of data in the Resident Management System, (3) Technical review of plans and specs, Quality Control reports, Quality Assurance reports, and Contractor Daily Reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).*One year of specialized experience at the second lower level (GS-07) is creditable for In-service applicants.
