This is a developmental position. Management is hiring at the GS-09 grade level ONLY with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade GS-12.
Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade is based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
At the GS-09 and GS-11 level, you will perform similar duties but under closer supervision.
As a Business Management Specialist, you will:
Learn and receive training on business capture management, capture team management, customer relationship management, customer and industry interface, customer requirements definition, acquisition management support, and other related technologies, which are the core duties of a Business Management Specialist, with the guidance of team lead, supervisor and team.
Assist with coordinating basic assignments and projects concerned with the strategic opportunities, executive engagements & meetings, partner & support IT subcategories, Customer and Stakeholder Engagement (CASE), FAS business lines, internal and external stakeholders, and industry partners.
Assist, support, and coordinate and develop customer engagement strategy with all GSA regional offices to determine regional placement of customer requirements to ensure effective resource and business management.
Assist, support, and coordinates customer requirements through contracting or task order process and ensures customer engagement activities are tracked in our Customer Relationship Management System (i.e. Salesforce).

The GS-09 salary range starts at $ 57,118 per year. Salary will be determined upon duty location.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service.
You may qualify based on your education and/or experience, as described below:
Specialized Experience: Assisting specialist and or participating as team member for the life cycle of Information Technology (IT) and Business Management projects. This experience must also include:
Assisting with review of findings on strategic project teams.
Contributing to the improvement or maintainence of customer engagement and relationships.
Preparing basic requirements necessary to meet the customer needs.

Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first 18 semester hours of graduate-level education earned.

Knowledge of business and industry policies and procedures in order to perform or assist on a variety of business development, industry evaluative and communication functions.
