Duties

Help
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert (MI Operations), and project officer performing work in Intelligence Capability Development (ICD). Manage, synchronize, and coordinate the operations and plans requirements of the CDID.
  • Team Chief supports I-CDID mission by leading strategic planning and reporting and acts as the operations integrator across the CDID; supports U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command
  • Synchronize and integrate operational demands to facilitate capability development across five divisions to document and communicate Army intelligence concepts, capabilities, and experimentation efforts.
  • Analyze, identify, and prioritize Army requirements for future intelligence capability solutions within the force development process. Frequently represent I-CDID at forums, meetings, and engagements with external agencies.
  • Employ Capability Development process and Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes, intelligence processes, force structure, modernization strategies and I-CDID roles and responsibilities for future capability development.
  • Lead strategic planning and reporting; operations integrator across the CDID. Support U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Capabilities DOTMLPF-P synchronization and reporting.
  • Develop process, organization, and operations improvements and adaptations; utilize expertise and creativity to develop products for engagements. Define specific, critical success criteria, and initiate action to resolve issues.
  • Serve as project or team leader for the development of a broad range of integration missions, to support I-CDID requirements determination, capabilities development, and experimentation.
  • Manage, maintain, and develop various products to support both short and long-term timelines; ensure completion of quick-turn products and providing progress updates to senior leaders on long term projects.
  • Apply operational knowledge, and intuitive reasoning to broad problem definitions and unique approaches to specific problem sets.
  • Build graphic tools and control measures to facilitate executive management, oversight, and decision making, to ensure unity of effort among diverse independent activities.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.

Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year or more of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of intelligence capability and requirements analysis to develop, analyze, and evaluate new or emerging military intelligence requirements as demonstrated by experience performing a combination of all of the following: 1.) Developing and defining intelligence concepts and capability needs within the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) process; and, 2.) Planning and/or coordinating research from multiple sources to produce recommendations on intelligence capabilities and requirements development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
