Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Conducting quality audits of work specification packages;
Requesting funds and distributing relevant availability information including contract work specifications, ship alteration and repair packages;
Resolving problems that affect the end cost, quality, schedule, and performance of availabilities or contracts;
Planning phases of repair, alterations and modernization work assignments on assigned ships during availabilities;
Drafting correspondence such as messages, letters and memoranda as appropriate to upper management such as Fleet Commanders, Systems Commands, Type Commanders, and other agencies;
Conducting quality audits of work specification packages to ensure authorized work is accomplished as agreed upon with customers;
Demonstrating technical expertise in the areas of surface ship maintenance, capable to evaluate the effectiveness of major overhaul and maintenance management approaches in terms of cost and mission accomplishment.
There is no education substitution for the GS-13 level.
