Help

As an Executive Coordinator, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Effectively communicating orally and in writing with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats.
  • Operating a personal computer to complete data entry and word processing assignments with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Executing administrative and clerical support to the East front office staff, which includes but is not limited to: reporting time and attendance, making travel arrangements (including booking lodging and transportation and recording expenses), validating availability of funds and processing training requests and registration forms, preparing requisitions, reserving conference rooms, typing correspondence and other administrative documents as required, and maintaining FERC Reports/Statutes and Regulations.
  • Organizing and prioritizing various administrative tasks with a high level of efficiency.

Qualifications

You can qualify based on your education, OR one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level, OR have a combination of education and experience. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing analytical research and assistance, and providing clerical and administrative support to senior management on a wide range of administrative issues and program objectives, such as strategic planning, communication, logistics, and coordination with other internal or external organizations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.

The duty location of this position is Washington, DC. Agency employees are eligible for telework and other workplace flexibilities. Telework days and waiting periods for eligibility are determined when an employee enters on duty.
