Help
  • Maintain continuous liaison with concerned personnel to fully coordinate pertinent information relative to assigned programs.
  • Develop logistic plans to assure integration of various logistic functions in support of assigned vehicles or projects.
  • Participates in the development of basic budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems.
  • Evaluate and coordinate efforts of the functional specialist to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules to meet each requirement as scheduled.
  • Manage a comprehensive program of logistical support.
  • Serves as the principal point of contact for all logistics support activities for assigned vehicle systems.
  • Assess system deployment plans to assure that distribution and support planning is substantive and accurate.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing integrated logistics support plans; developing or managing logistics contract requirements; writing scopes of work; providing logistical support on maintenance, diagnostics, or supply procedures; managing development of technical data (such as technical manuals, provisioning, and training); authoring or developing milestone documentation; and developing or execution of parts management plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
