Duties

Help
  • Serves as a Procurement Coordinator within the Product Director Aerostats program office, responsible for the overall management of contract actions across the product office.
  • Responsible for exploring new and/or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at equitable contract arrangements.
  • Assist with the translation of technical and business requirements into performance work statements and associated acquisition requirement documents using knowledge of regulatory guidance, management and acquisition methods and contracting strategy.
  • Provide oversight on contract planning to ensure that there is no break in support.
  • Develop the requisition documentation that will be supplied to the contract agency.
  • Participate in contract management activities assuring compliance with all regulations and oversight requirements.
  • Work with others in implementation of procurement related organizational policies, tools, and methodologies such as contract risk management, make or buy analysis, market research, procurement documentation preparation, and contract types.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Foundational Level I in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is a Term position not to exceed 2 years and will not be made permanent.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Ensuring vouchers are processed and forwarded to DFAS for payment while managing related Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) process.; 2) participating in the development of long-range acquisition plans and acquisition strategy; and 3) serving as a contracting officer's representative (COR) on selected contracts, and recommends the issuance of necessary modifications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
  • Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 2 YEARS by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years.
  • Positions may be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 YEARS, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended upon to a maximum of six years.
