You will support researchers in their use of x-ray producing machines to study the adverse effects of ionizing radiation using various animal models.
You will solve problems that would be considered novel or obscure.
You will serve as a subject matter expert in radiation physics, dosimetry and measurements, and collaborate in the identification of new military research initiatives.
You will collaborate with internal and external Federal, academic, and private industry scientists to conduct radiobiology research and provide major input for experimental designs.
You will participate in interpretation of results of radiobiological experiments and advises radiobiologists on peculiarities, advantages, and limitations of particular radiation sources and irradiation techniques.
You will demonstrate proficiency in operating radiation producing machines and performing dosimetry measurements.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
