You must be serving on career or career-conditional appointment, or under a noncompetitive Special Appointing Authority which provides for conversion to a permanent position in the Competitive Service.
As a an Information Technology (IT) Specialist you will serve as a technical project expert functioning as an Agile Software Developer, responsible for developing internal- and external-facing software components.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
Develop, create, maintain, and write/code new (or modifies existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs.
Work across different IT teams on projects.
Develop and maintain business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs.
Develop information technology rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.
Conduct software and systems engineering and software systems research in order to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated.
Support the Continuity of Operations (COOP) program by working and coordinating with different teams during COOP exercises, natural disasters, event emergencies and maintaining up to date documentation.
Plan, organize, and manage projects in order to achieve a predefined goals or outcomes.
Direct Deposit of salary check to financial organization required.
Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date

Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
Serve a one year supervisory or managerial probationary period.

Serve a one year probationary period, if required.

This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location. The GS-13 salary range starts at $98,496.00 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
