Summary


About the position: This position will be assigned to the MacDill AFB Bowling Center.

Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, stand, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical to include annual audio test.

  • Expected to adhere to proper maintenance of bowling equipment. Must be courteous and exercise diplomacy when dealing with staff and customers.
  • Expected to be dependable, reliable, trustworthy, and produce the expected volume or work within an appropriate time frame. Must maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Expected to adhere to Air Force and local directives, policies, procedures and instructions, and demonstrate appropriate standards of conduct, personal hygiene, and dress.
  • Expected to adhere to fire, safety and facility security standards. Must maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationships with other staff members and show willingness to learn on the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have previous experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical an electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment, and the ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
