The purpose of the position is to manage, plan, organize, and direct AASF logistics operations in support of AASF and supported aviation unit training and flight operations. The Aviation Logistics Management Officer (ALMO) provides logistical support to, and partners with, the AASF Commander, Flight Operations, Safety, Quality Assurance, and supported unit commanders in planning, scheduling, and implementing a comprehensive flying program.
(1) Collaborates with the AASF Commander, AASF staff, and supported unit commanders to plan, develop, and implement long and short term plans to effectively use aircraft and flying hours, and to accomplish vital training and operational missions.
(2) Reviews and evaluates higher-level headquarters' directives and policies for AASF implementation. (3) Through subordinate supervisors, directs staff and production functions related to aircraft maintenance, production support, material services, ground support, and facility services.
(4) Performs MTFs to determine airworthiness of aircraft supported by AASF.
(5) Consults with supported unit commanders in planning and executing training or contingency exercises involving individual or multiple units in support of unit readiness.

Open to US Army, Army Reserves, and Army Nat'l Guard military members only
Must be assessed into WY ARNG before appt. May take up to 120 days.
Must become a member of the Wyoming Army Nat'l Guard before appt.
Provide last three OERs, Performance appraisals or Ltr of Recommendation in lieu of.
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
Indefinite position may convert to Perm if funding/position is available.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination these military incentives. Relocation expenses will not be paid by the Government unless noted in the Announcement.

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Army Aviation Support Facility.
Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard.
Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard.
Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves, or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Work involves performing or supervising staff work in planning and coordinating logistical support activities to provide the money, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support a specified mission at the time and place they are needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
Must possess experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
Must be qualified as pilot in command for UH-60 and/or HH-60 series aircraft.
Completion of Aviation Maintenance Officer Course (AMOC) and UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot Course are preferred for candidates.
