Summary

As a Utility Systems Repairer Operator, you will be responsible for independent operation, maintenance, and minor repair of large industrial chiller units as well as operating and maintaining various plant systems such as steam boilers.

Duties

Help
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated skill of multiple trades/crafts to perform the full range of senior journeyman tasks.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of utility systems to independently operate utility systems under varying load conditions.
  • Monitor operation, and repair of multiple utility systems and associated facilities and building systems and equipment.
  • Perform inspections, shift rounds, and preventive maintenance on utility systems and other equipment as required or directed.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the use, handling, and maintenance of tools and equipment common to utility systems.

Qualifications

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position.
