Summary
The NIDCR is currently seeking to fill a vacant Supervisory Research Biologist position within the Combined Technical Research Core, Division of Intramural Research.
Independently plans, organizes and implements applied scientific investigation in the field of Single Cell analysis, Flow and Spectral Cytometry, FACS and magnetic Cell Sorting, DNA Sequencing, Imaging, and histology.
Uses biomedical and molecular biological techniques to support research across the Institute and collaborate with other Institutes at NIH.
Plans and accomplishes special projects for the development and implementation of new scientific approaches to research efforts.
Assists in the evaluation of the recruitment and training of appropriate personnel to fulfill the needs of the lab, advising the management regarding present and future directions of the research.
U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements:
Education Requirement:
Have completed the requirements for a bachelor's (or graduate) degree in a biological science, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position, from an accredited college or university;
OR
Have a combination of experience and education which includes courses comparable to a major in a biological science, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines appropriate to this position, AND have appropriate experience or additional education which demonstrates similarly appropriate skills or abilities needed to perform the duties of this position;
AND
In addition, you qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks:planning and formulating studies in support of biomedical research programs and projects; employing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze experimental data; preparing scientific reports, analytical interpretations, conclusions, or recommendations for publication; preparing and presenting information regarding laboratory experiments to a research community; and providing guidance and training to others in the use of equipment and in the conduct of laboratory methods and procedures.
