Duties

Help
  • Directs the development and marketing of base support services consistent with forecasted mission, customer requirements and resources.
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient and productive utilization of assigned resources reporting directly to the Director regarding any aspect of resource and personnel management and control.
  • Prepares and conducts specialized briefings, as required, at all levels, to include General Officers.
  • Manages the planning functions which facilitate the development and marketing of base support services consistent with the installation?s forecasted mission, customer requirements and constantly fluctuating resources.
  • Directs and/or prepares the directorate?s Annual Work Plan (AWP), which includes the financed and unfinanced programs for BASEOPS requirements and RMPA projects.
  • Manages the directorate?s Work Management functions that include Planning and Estimation, Work Control and Supply Services.
  • Provides leadership in maintaining organization structures; improving management methods and procedures; ensuring the effective use of personnel, materials and money; and proposing solutions to management which may have an impact on employees.
  • As the Division Chief, performs personnel management, administrative and technical functions supervising and directing a workforce of civilian personnel.

  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.

  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing budget and program management within an organization to meet program goals and use of funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
