If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team at the Office of Legal Education (OLE) and serve as what is operationally known as the Deputy Chief Learning Officer, responsible for managing and supervising Attorney Advisors across a variety of different program areas. OLE's mission is to promote justice through training, educating, and developing Department of Justice (DOJ) personnel and the broader government legal community in legal, legal support, and administrative skills. OLE provides substantive support for the planning, delivery, operation, and evaluation of training programs for EOUSA, the Department of Justice and other Federal agencies. The NAC is located on the campus of the University of South Carolina (UofSC) in Columbia, SC.

The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Attorney Advisor and senior legal advisor for the Office of Legal Education. If selected for this position, some of your duties will include:
- Providing technical and administrative supervision to Attorney Advisors in different program areas.
- Providing expert guidance and advice to the Chief Learning Officer on decisions affecting program administration, strategy, budget formulation and execution, and other administrative matters.
- Providing expert legal advice, guidance, and recommendations on OLE activities, operations, and matters relative to legal education and
training programs, initiatives, and ongoing development/ continuing education of AUSAs.
- Performing professional legal analysis of legal programs and issues relative to the curriculum designed for the professional development and education of department attorneys.
- Providing advice and guidance to other attorneys throughout EOUSA and making significant contributions in the formulation of EOUSA policies and administration of OLE policies and programs.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

(3) At least 4 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience in legal education, training, and development.
