Help

As a Senior Analyst (Federal Land and Water Resources), PE-0347-22 your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Lead engagement teams in designing, implementing, and writing audits related to U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service; Department of the Interior; and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration programs.
  • Serve as a subject matter advisor to multiple engagement Teams on U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service; Department of the Interior; and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration programs.
  • Assist Natural Resources and Environment team leadership in providing assistance and briefings to congressional committees, Members, and staff related to U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service; Department of the Interior; and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band or level equivalent to the GS-13, PE-IIA, PT-II, CS-II level in the federal service, or comparable experience in the private sector.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as 1) demonstrated experience in analyzing federal natural resources programs in two or more of the following areas: wildland fire management, land management, fish and wild life management, water resource management, and climate change adaptation; and 2) providing authoritative guidance to internal management and staff related to the program areas listed above.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
