Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number T5149000 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard.
Reemployed Annuitant: This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
All on-board (perm, temp, indef) Title 5 and Title 32 NG employees, AGR/M-Day/DSG within the NYNG, former members of NYNG with a National Guard Bureau Form 22 or 22A showing an Honorable Discharge or a General Discharge Under Honorable characterization.
As a Supervisory Accounting Technician, GS-0525-10, you will provide technical and administrative supervision in the Accounting Section that serves the ARNG military and Technician personnel.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position within one year of appointment.
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Experience advising and providing provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Experience discharging security responsibilities by ensuring education and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive material. experience developing goals and objectives that integrate organizational and Comptroller Division objectives.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
