Help
  • Identify solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of agency operations, and resolves matter involving conservation plans.
  • Make sure applications meet NRCS technical standards and the proper planning procedures are used in assembling program applications.
  • Develop innovative techniques and recommends technical and administrative changes where needed to improve program quality and efficiency.
  • Provide training and support all NRCS employees and identifies training needs for filed personnel.

Qualifications

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No Award or General Adjustment SF-50's will be accepted).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

GS-12
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that included:

  • 1)Supporting field office staff in implementing National and State Conservation planning policies, procedures, and requirements for the Field Office Technical Guide;
  • 2)Analyzing the quality and quantity of resource plans, the application of resource systems, and all respective follow-up for the field offices within the area; and
  • 3) Assist in the implementation of the State Quality Assurance Plan.
