Duties

Help

Incumbent provides support in recruitment, developing vacancy announcements, screening and evaluating applications, processing new employees, and processing recurring personnel actions for the Region. Serves as primary point of contact for processing recruitment and personnel actions for Non-appropriated fund (NAF) Family Services and FFR Service Center positions. Serves as the primary point of contact for the NAF Benefits program administration. Responsible for processing required documents for FMLA, PCS Moves and Relocation agreements. Incumbent will be responsible to establish and track files on a variety of personnel actions and correspondence and maintain CNIC instructions and Navy and OPM guidance.

Qualifications

Qualified candidate must have at least two years personnel experience including strong experience in recruiting and applicant screening, staffing principles and employment practices. Must possess a demonstrated knowledge and skill in applying personnel concepts, practices, laws, policies, rules, regulations, precedents, and procedures to perform a variety of routine and complex assignments. Must be familiar with federal employment practices and the organizational structure of the activities served. Knowledge of NAF organizations, personnel regulations, principles and concepts is desired. Skill in oral expression to explain processes and procedures, and the ability to make decisions and resolve problems or discrepancies is required. Experience and knowledge of computer applications and software is required. Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with deadline achievement. Requires approximately 10% travel. A degree or training in human resources or related field would be an asset to the position. A valid Washington State driver's license is required.
