Help

As an Information Technology Specialist (NETWORKSERVICES), PT-2210-3 your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Design and conduct comprehensive and broad studies/reviews or manage major projects. Collaborate with and lead management in the change process. Develop recommendations that could impact legislation. Provide authoritative advisory services and/or develop authoritative policy statements.
  • Manage access requests, user accounts, and configuration of identity management across cloud services, cloud infrastructures, and Innovation Lab tools.
  • Serve as a Cloud Operation Support Specialist to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services, contract management, and administrative needs across projects and stakeholders.
  • Administer AWS Landing Zone and Account Operations, AWS Provisioning and Change Management, AWS Access Management, AWS Security Management, AWS Logging and Reporting, AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery and AWS IT Service Management integration with ITSM Solution.
  • Select appropriate AWS services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements.
  • Provide technical support directly to users of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and other evolving as-a-service capabilities.
  • Serve as a contracting officer representative (COR) for IT contracts. Conducts market research and develops requirements for major information technology procurements.
  • Track progress in meeting operational objectives across Agile-based program increments, release trains, and sprints. Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding of support personnel and monitor government furnished material..
  • Complete accurate and contemporaneous recordkeeping for the Innovation Lab, including documentations, policies, and procedures using collaboration tools such as Jira and confluence.
  • Coordinate operational activities such as event planning, outreach to mission and operation teams, schedule alignments, training management, and compliance assessments.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the PT-III Band Level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

  1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Specialized Experience: The PT-3 position require one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band/grade PT-2/GS-13 level (or equivalent) in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience must be IT related and is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.

Specialized experience is defined as experience managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) and applying AWS landing zones, AWS account operations, AWS provisioning and change management, AWS access management, security management, AWS logging and report, AWS backup and disaster recovery and AWS IT Service Management integration with ITSM solutions to design and deploy applications based on give requirements; and deploying dynamically scalable, fault tolerant and reliable applications on AWS.

You must provide a copy of your Amazon Web Services Certification.
