Summary

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The Director is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, administration and supervision of the functions assigned to the Digital Partnerships and Outreach Division. The incumbent manages and oversees the research and recommendation of standards and policies relating to digitization processes; is responsible for the successful execution of elements of NARA's digitization strategy.

As a Director, Digital Partnerships and Outreach Division, you will:

  • Oversee the execution of NARA's Digitization Strategy and digital partnership strategies and work with agency staff and senior leadership to conduct periodic reviews and updates.
  • Coordinate with other organizational units within the Office of Innovation and throughout NARA to maximize the impact of the digitization and digital partnership efforts.
  • Provide leadership in efforts to develop a robust agency-wide digitization and digital partnership program.
  • Coordinate planning, organizational analyses, strategic planning, and cost-effective means of achieving identified digitization and digital partnership objectives.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent in other public or private sections, that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  • Integrating trends and patterns based on diverse information and perspectives to determine the root causes of problems, identify the best course of action, and prioritize efforts; AND
  • Developing and maintaining networks and alliances to optimize individual and organizational effectiveness; AND
  • Prioritizing, organizing and managing time, actions, resources and initiatives to ensure the successful completion of responsibilities and requirements; AND
  • Supervising or leading agency-wide digitization strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14level for 52 weeks.
