Duties

As a GS-0343-14 Program Analyst, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Supports preparation of Mission Office recurring (e.g., annual, midyear and unfunded), and unscheduled budget reviews developing estimates for funding research and support operations in all established and proposed accounts from diverse funding streams including congressional appropriations, reimbursements from multiple sources, grants funding, and others.
  2. Develops reports analyzing emerging policies and risk assessment criteria from the Strategic Planning, Policy Coordination, Evaluation, Analytics, Regulatory Compliance, and Risk Management Office to ensure office strategic priorities will be aligned with these requirements.
  3. Supports and may participate liaisons with internal and external contracting organizations to ensure optimal support to ARPA-H research operations.
  4. Reviews and recommends changes or concurs with release of all formal correspondence and requests for information including requests generated by Congress or their constituents, higher authority queries, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, or similar.
  5. Reviews, concurs, or provides alternatives to proposed changes to ARPA-H instructions and policy documents with specific emphasis on ensuring that they are written in plain language that can be easily understood by those without prior Federal government experience.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1. Analyzing and evaluating effectiveness of organizational programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives; 2. Coordinating policy analysis, program oversight, evaluation activities, strategic planning, and research coordination; 3. Reviewing budget request for new programs; and 4. Interpreting technical requirements of contracts and recommending changes.

You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
