Duties

Help
  • You will provide technical assistance and support in the HR functional areas of Drug Free Workplace, Leave, and Awards and Recognition Programs
  • You will use processes and procedure for both ashore and afloat personnel that are routine to pre-testing and post-testing.
  • You will enter applicant test scheduling and results and run various reports on testing.
  • You will order various drug testing supplies as needed.
  • You will assist in the control and administration of the various Federal leave policies and programs such as FMLA, PPL, advanced leave, and Emergency and Voluntary Leave Transfer programs.
  • You will provide requested ad hoc and quarterly metrics for various Human Resources programs.
  • You will access departmental group email inboxes in order to respond to various requests or forward to the appropriate personnel for action.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:

  • Providing support and assistant to specialist and supervisors on various programs such as Leave Programs, Awards and Recognition Programs, and the Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP);
  • Scheduling random and applicant drug testing and retrieving test results;
  • Ensuring appropriate documentation in maintained electronically and with hard copies; and
  • Assisting in the control and administration of leave programs and award recognition programs by reviewing submitted forms for completeness and accuracy.

Additional information

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
