This position is located at CFPB, Supervision West Region. The incumbent serves as a Regional Administrative Officer performing a broad range of functions supporting the Regional Director, line managers and regional examination staff. The incumbent serves as a senior policy and technical expert, analyst and advisor to these officials and staff on a broad spectrum of organizational, managerial, technical, supervision, examination and regulatory issues related to Supervision's field operations.

As a Regional Administrative Officer, you will:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operation of a large and/or complex regional support and administrative function consisting of numerous, diverse activities.
  • Provide executive leadership and guidance in developing plans and strategies to fully optimize human capital and financial resources.
  • Serve as the advisor to the Regional Director on management of organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. .
  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the CN-60, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-53 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN-53 is broadly equivalent to the GS-13). Specialized Experience for this position includes:
For this position, specialized experience is defined as experience:
1. Serving as a senior advisor/liaison to high-level officials, managing the daily operation and support of an organization (including overseeing records management and travel); AND
2. Preparing resource estimates, conducting analysis of organization and recommending organizational changes: AND
3. Tracking resource expenditures and usage in 4 of the 5 following areas:
a. work related to preparation of and administering budgets and monitoring financial activity;
b. human capital planning and human resources administration;
c. procurement;
d. personnel and physical security;
e. facilities management oversight, including office space, equipment, property and supplies.

Salary may be set from the minimum of the salary range to the midpoint of the salary range.
