1. Performs ground maintenance on grades or slopes, dig ditches and trenches using picks and shovels. Operates large industrial power push mower and riding type mower. Adjust blades for cutting height, prepare fuel mixtures for powered equipment and cleans and lubricates mower. Trims, prunes, and cuts trees, bushes and plants. Uses various hand tools, such as, shovels, hoes, rakes, hoes, and pruning shears. 2. Assists with the general clean-up and maintenance of grass areas, planted areas, parking lots, vacant lots and recreation areas, by removing trash, weeds, and cutting back brush. May operate motor vehicle to get from one work area to another, transporting supplies/equipment and other workers.
