This National Guard position is for a Supply Technician, Position Description Number D0889000 and is part of the WY United States Property and Fiscal Office, Wyoming Army National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to act as the focal point for customer assistance in the resolution of supply and service problems and complaints. Acts as a technical expert in various supply and service areas such as subsistence, ammunition, excess, Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL), turn-in, federal property and related reports of survey.
(1) Serves as the point of contact for customers with supply and service problems.
(2) Identifies and resolves customer complaints such as lost shipments, issue shortages, back orders on priority requisitions, erroneously canceled requisitions, excessive order shipment times, warehouse refusals, etc.
(3) Analyzes customer complaints for trends or evidence of systemic problems.
(4) Makes regular contact and visits with other USPFO activities, maintenance activities, supported
units, inventory control points, supply activities from other states, and higher headquarters to
gather information and resolve supply problems.
(5) Supports mobilization mission of logistical support for units mobilizing for federal missions.

Open to US Army, Army Reserves, and Army Nat'l Guard military mbrs only
Must be assessed into WY ARNG before appt. May take up to 120 days.
Must become a member of the Wyoming Army Nat'l Guard before appt.
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination these military incentives. Relocation expenses will not be paid by the Government unless noted in the Announcement.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician.
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Work involving supervising or performing clerical or technical supply support work necessary to ensure the effective operation of ongoing supply activities. Work is performed in a wide range of systematized supply operations, such as performing administrative functions in inventory, storage, cataloging, receipt and control processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: *** College transcripts must be submitted only when substituting education for experience.
Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
