Duties

Help

  • Assures all deposits from activities are received. Receives, counts and balances cash, negotiable instruments, and credit card receipts. Consolidates all items and prepares required bank deposits. Transports deposits to the banking facility. Requests Security Police escort.
  • Immediately advises supervisor and activity manager of any cash shortage/overage received from activities. Maintains change fund for activities' cash requirements. Monitors the amount of cash on-hand to ensure that sufficient cash is available to meet 377th Force Support Squadron activities' needs.
  • Receives requests for issuance of change and impress funds. Balances the change fund daily. Makes purchases of cash as needed to replenish the change fund.
  • Prepares, maintains, and balances central control logs to account for all change funds issued and turned in and activity deposits. Prepares cashier's reports and other forms as required.
  • Accounts for and issues pre-numbered forms. Assists in posting and reconciling cashier's reports. Assures that cash and negotiable instruments are accounted for and safeguarded at all times.
  • As time permits, will assist in performing the following Accounting Technician Duties: Processing consolidated cost center reports. Assists in receipt of returned checks and processes paperwork to the civilian collection agency.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation with favorable results.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Qualifying Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting, clerical methods, forms and documents and the ability to understand relationships between numbers, accounts and items in accounts.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate calculator and computer terminal.
  • Ability to process a large number of transactions which require close attention to detail accurately.
  • May be required to work uncommon tour of duty.
  • Work requires bending, stooping and moderate lifting.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
