Duties

Help

As an Archives Specialist, you will:

- Serve as a senior Archives Specialist leveraging a wide range of business process experience and technical knowledge to advise and provide support of SFTP process and existing support systems unique to the Electronic Records Division.

- Participate in the development of Division and agency-wide policies (i.e., electronic records accessioning, processing, preservation, or access); and the development of other new practices and standards.

- Advise and inform others on policies and procedures related to accessioning, processing, preservation, or reference work.

-Research, evaluate, and maintain awareness of new and emerging developments and technologies.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Utilizing a wide range of systems or databases to search beyond readily accessible material to locate, analyze, index, and manage records; AND
- Independently performing analytical and research techniques to deliver reference and research assistance to individuals, agencies and organizations; AND
- Leading or participating in projects describing or preserving a body of records.

Education
