  • You will plan and carry out all assignments necessary to process all-source material and produce pertinent intelligence in your assigned area to meet organization needs.
  • You will identify a need for and know where or how to gather information, as well as being able to obtain, evaluate, organize, and maintain information.

  • You will use advanced verbal and written communication techniques to prepare and present briefings on assigned area for senior executives.

  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • Travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences, and training.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461 - Systems Security Analyst ; see Additional Information section.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:

1. Analyze and evaluate complex information from a variety of sources in preparation for defense against potential cyber intrusions.
2. Prepare new or revise previous analyses, assessments, or other top level cyber intelligence products to present to senior leadership.
3. Maintain liaison with other intelligence agencies and operational forces and represent the command at local, national, and international working groups and meetings.

Meade, you must be able to obtain and maintain NSA/CSS clearance verification. This clearance verification involves, but is not limited to, investigation into foreign travel and foreign contacts. NOTE: Possession of TS/SCI clearance does not guarantee that NSA/CSS clearance verification will be granted.

This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area 461 - Systems Security Analyst and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include:
-- 1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and;
-- 2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
