Summary

Current or former federal employees who have federal civil service status as a result of competitive or other means provided in law or government-wide regulations (VEOA, VRA, Schedule A, etc.).
Perform expert analysis and prepare substantive materials that translate forecasting and analytical data into actionable public health information.
Perform expert analysis of collected data and findings for interpretation of disease models, forecasts, and outbreak analytics.
Lead the development of nationwide program initiatives that communicate the needs of policy makers during public health emergencies to disease modelers and analysts.
Establish and forge relationships with subject matter experts with CFA, across CDC, other federal agencies, and state and local health officials to develop products that communicate analytic and modeling results.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.
Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience managing/leading public health activities; and advising and consulting on science-based communication and policy regarding public health issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
