Summary

This position is located in the Office of Analytics and Improvements (OAI), Office of Analytics, Review, and Oversight (OARO). The incumbent provides technical expertise to accomplish analysis and wrangling of data, development of methodological approaches, study design, and advanced written, verbal, and visual communications of analysis output. The incumbent contributes to development of the design for advanced data systems, software, and complex programming specifications.

Duties

Help
  • Translates the results of analysis into clear, actionable communications that equip SSA decision makers to make informed, data-driven decisions about digital product development and IT strategy.
  • Conducts observational analyses using software and/or programming languages such as Excel, SQL, and Enterprise Data Catalog platforms to explore/group data, test hypotheses, predict outcomes, and inform decisions.
  • (Cont'd) Derives meaning from big data (i.e., datasets that may be large, disparate, unstructured, and/or complex), including structured, loosely structured, and unstructured data
  • Leads the design and execution of data analysis projects to include predictive modeling and/or machine learning.
  • Research and designs presentations and interpretations of analytical outputs tailored to specific audiences including the use of interactivity and narrative storytelling where appropriate.

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include directing studies using statistical programming software to build predictive models that analyze programs and operation management efficiencies, and create solutions/recommendations and present to executives.
