Summary

You will serve as a Deputy Public Affairs Officer responsible for implementing specifics U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. Tenth Fleet strategic communications and public affairs program. In this position, you will educate the public about Fleet Cyber Command/CF10 operations, programs, activities, and services per FCC/CF10 Strategic Plan. This position is located in Fort Meade, MD.

Duties

Help
  • You will implement, manage, and update the command's strategic engagement program, to include planning and coordinating engagements that .educate key audiences to promote public understanding of the Command's role in achieving national security.
  • You will research, plan and coordinate media engagements.
  • You will develop and enforce policy documents governing social media use.
  • You will coordinate with Navy's Office of Legislative Affairs to prepare Commander and staff for Congressional appearances and briefings.
  • You will participate in planning and executing comprehensive public affairs projects.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience, or related education, must demonstrate the following:

1) Researching and writing supporting materials including speeches, press releases, slides and
memorandums;
2) Developing, writing and implementing communication plans and tactics designed to inform the workforce, external stakeholders and local audiences through community outreach and media products/engagements;
3) Managing social media use, including development and posting of content and adherence to governing policies;
4) Independently identifying the need for information and collecting required information and collecting required information, organize into finished products that support specific objectives.
