Help
  • You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist (videographer/photographer) in the District Office of Public Affair.
  • You will prepare digital broadcast products, video specials and weekly news features.
  • You will product digital broadcast products, video specials and weekly news features.
  • You will shoot video and secondary footage (b-roll), and produce finished broadcast-quality products.
  • You will research topics and interview subject matter experts to clearly and concisely present interpretive information.
  • You will produce and disseminate radio and television spots, public service announcements, news stories and other streaming video products for distribution to a wide audience on the internet.
  • You will maintain video equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • You will assist in training other District Public Affairs Office (PAO) personnel with broadcast missions.
  • You will develop strategies to promote District broadcast video products through coordination with Division, USACE, Department of the Army (DA) Public Affairs Offices (PAOs), Army Commands, DoD, and other entities as necessary.
  • You will shoot studio photographs and on-scene photographs of people, projects and programs for use in a variety of social and digital mediums.

Qualifications

A recruitment/relocation incentive up to 25% of basic pay may be offered to the selectee of this position. To receive an incentive the selectee must sign a period of service agreement before assignment to the new position. If employee wishes to terminate their agreement recoupment procedures will be initiated.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Create digital broadcast products, video specials and weekly news features; 2) Develop and materi photo and video for dissemination through a variety of communication channels to a large variety of clients; AND 3) Revise, and edit video and photo segments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Education
