Essential selection criteria:
General understanding of Arctic security dynamics including the interplay of some or all of: history, geography, environment, politics, economics, population, demographics and culture.
Knowledge of key public and private actors and networks that can contribute to developing strategies to contend with Arctic security challenges
Ability to recommend policy objectives to address Arctic security challenges
The following are preferred attributes:
Doctoral or Master's degree in security-related field
Experience living or working in the Arctic Region
Proven ability in teaching and seminar facilitation
Proven ability to function as an effective, collaborative team member
Desirable selection criteria:
Experience working in multinational settings at the operational, strategic, or policy level
Education
Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study.
