Participate in wildland fire management projects in a variety of roles (prescribed burning, wildfire suppression and fire tower duty) with good communication.
Perform forest technician duties designating sale boundaries, selects and marks timber, and performs timber cruising in accordance with product designation and silvicultural prescription.
Collect and record accurate data and communicates results supporting forest and fire management.
Train newer employees on GPS, GIS and other technology applications to forest and fire management.
Train new technicians on safe timber and fire operations.
Create and implement plans for daily forest and fire management activities in accordance with leadership direction, standards and best practices.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience performing forest management tasks such as; designation of sale boundaries, selecting and marking timber, cruising timber and timber sale implementation in accordance with product designation and silvicultural prescriptions. Experience performing fire management tasks such as; prescribed fire team member, fire tower duty, wildland firefighting and suppression, as well as participate in training for safe fire management.
